October for Pink VS FEBRUARY for ?

It is said that if you set your mind on only the positive highs your body produces oxytocin which will definitely keep you on the happy edge of life. I must confess I am one of those persons so many people think I never get angry, truly I like being on the happy highs. If u know me and every wonder why, here is your answer. Wait, is it realistic for one to truly always be on the happy high? This brings me to the the purpose of this note. Though we are in the spirit of jolly jolly and lovey lovey this month of February, I think it will be wise to pull the curtain on awareness of the cancer of the month. Let’s balance the high and low a little. Agree? Can you take a guess what cancer February holds?

If I was giving out a million dollars for that question you definitely would be a million dollar short now right? let me give you the answer, February is Gallbladder/bile duct cancer awareness month! This Cancer develops in the gallbladder, a small organ below the liver.

This kind of cancer is rare and Unfortunately there may be little or no symptoms. When gallbladder cancer is discovered at its earliest stages, the chance for a cure is very good. But most gallbladder cancers are discovered at a late stage, when the prognosis is often very poor. When symptoms occur, they may include:

  • Abdominal pain, particularly in the upper right portion of the abdomen
  • Abdominal bloating
  • Losing weight without trying
  • Yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice).

What color represents gallbladder cancer?

Did you just lose another million dollar? ? most of us can tell of October but did I just give it away? I gave it away with todays colors being Kelly Green! Now that you know the answer I feel accomplished for the month! If something does not feel right please meet with your doctor and rule out all odds. Do your best and let God handle the rest.

  1. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May Jesus who came close to the sick and needy see you through as you reach out to the sick in your own unique style. “Whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren you do to me”, says Jesus Christ. Union of hearts, dear Gwen!
